Just joined - £50 referral fee and refund from British Gas

Hi,
happy to have joined up with you. Couple of items to iron out
1) I got an email explaining myself and friend referral had £50 added to our accounts (dated 19/09) but it doesn't show up on mine, only my first payment
2) BG have £150 credit of mine but won't release it cos they said they don't have the final readings from yourself, so the account can't be closed. Can you confirm the status, or am I being played ?

    1) I've just checked and it looks like it was credited on the 21st September. You'll be able to see it in your next statement on the 19th October.

    2) It takes time for the meter readings to make their way to other suppliers. We can't just send them directly to British Gas, we have to send it to the organisations that monitor all meter readings ever, and they then send them on. It usually takes 1-2 weeks, but it's not unheard of for it to take up to 6 weeks to make it's way through. Sit tight and British Gas will get them soon.
