  • No methane is 87 times more powerful than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas and melting permafrost frost is also due to release enormous quantities into the atmosphere. We need to use renewable sources that do not add these gases like tidal, solar etc not more gas whatever its origins.
  • You're absolutely right Julia. But using gas like this takes methane that would have been released into the atmosp[here anyway, and converts it to CO2. It actually reduces the amount of methane being released into the atmosphere, which is great.
