Account in Debit

Hi,

If the account is in debit how long do we have to pay off as our direct debit comes out on the 15th of the month but we are billed on the 12th. So it gives us 3 days to clear the debit.

  • If you stay in debit (especially if the amount starts increasing), someone from Bulb may get in contact directly, but being in debit over the winter is somewhat normal and will normally work itself out as you use less energy in the sumer.

    You can top-up or increase your direct debit payments whenever you like though if it seems like you're not paying enough to cover your usage.

    What you are seeing is quite normal, the billing date and the direct debit dates are linked. You don't have to worry about there being a 3 day difference between your bill and the DD payment. The delay in due to the processes in collecting the DD payments.
