I made a payment on 3 Jan which put me over £200 in credit so I went to the correct place to reduce my monthly payments. Did this very easy but got an email now saying they going to take another payment in 3 days. Seems stupid that you reduce your payments when in credit so they just take more payments. If I reduce it again today will they take a third payment this month.

Just a thought when you reduced your monthly payments did you by any chance change the payment date?
