adjusting payment methods

Hi there, my flatmate and I switch to Bulb fairly recently. I just realised that our Gas payment option is switch on into Direct Debit while we actually have a Prepayment meter. I have a couple of questions about that:
-how can we readjust the system to prepayment ?
-will that affect the 1st bill that we received?
-will we receive a new gas card as we are no longer with our old provider?

and also, but this is more of a general query, is there the remote chance of changing the actual meter in the future if we want to switch to a reading one like the electricity??
