All of the smart meter installation time slots are Monday to Friday and they all have some crossover with m one and my wife’s working hours. I am not willing to take holiday in order for my meter to be fitted so I called up to request that the engineer arrive towards the end of the slot, something which British Gas were more than happy to do recently, but not something Bulb was willing to entertain. Could you offer later evening or weekend slots? I work more or less a 9-5 but am lucky enough to finish early on a Friday so can be in for some of the Friday slot (I’m willing to take the risk of a £30 fee if the engineer arrives before I am home) but many people would not have this luxury so would either not be able to have a smart meter fitted or be forced to take holiday. Please could you rethink this policy.
