Hi, just wondering if it’s normal to have 2 months of overlapping bills when switching from previous supplier to new supplier? The reason I switched in the first place was to save money as I’m a new mum with a small child and can’t afford ridiculous bills. This is now costing me £120 for a second month! I live in a tiny flat with my infant and I’ve been energy efficient where possible to keep bills as low as possible. I can understand an overlap for the first month whilst switching but this is just unnecessary in my opinion.

It can take up to six weeks to get your final bill so on this basis there is a possibility you will be charged by your previous for a second month. Please see this Bulb article: Why is my old supplier still charging me? – Bulb
