Building up credit

Hi,could somebody please tell me what happens when you don’t use as much fuel eg.summer but your payment stays the same,do you build up some form of credit,or does your payment reduce to compensate for less usage? Thankyou

Your payments are based on your average for the year so remain the same throughout the year.
So in winter you use more energy than you pay for, in theory when the warmer weather kicks in you use less energy but the payments remain the same which then pays the defecit accumulated over winter.
If you credit balance remains high you can request a payment back to your bank.

@MariaW I agree with everything @scudo wrote. I’d add that we review payments, so if they’re too high we’ll suggest a lower monthly payment, and equally if they’re too low we’ll suggest a higher monthly payment.
