Bulb account / 'We need to increase your payments'

Hi there,

I got an email from bulb saying they needed to increase my payment. Because it’s now summer we’re now using far less electricity and gas than we usually do in the winter / last few months. We would like to wait until the end of the summer to see whether we need to increase our payment. Please could we arrange this instead? Thanks very much.

Just on case you hadn’t realised you are on a community forum for fellow Bulb customers?

In essence you are in control of your Direct Debit monthly payment amount as long as you have enough credit in your account to pay one month in advance. You are able to adjust your DD payments yourself.

You may already b doing it but make sure your meter readings are up to date so that the bills you are getting from Bulb are as accurate as possible, if this is the case you are in a better position to know if your credit is sufficient to cover the one month advance requirement.
