Changing a meter

Hi has anyone changed their meter from a surface mounted meter (wall) to a semi concealed meter? If so how long did it take? Need one changing ASAP

Hi there @Sara1 that’s something we can do for you, you’ll be able to book it in if you pop us over an email on help@bulb.co.uk or give us a ring on 0300 30 30 635 from 9:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday. It is a little more complicated to move from wall mounted to semi concealed than the normal meter exchanges, as you’ll need your distributor (you can find out who they are here) to come out first and move all the pipes etc, then we’ll come out afterwards to take out the old meter and put a new one in. You’ll need to arrange the job with the distributor first to go ahead in the morning, then get in touch with us and arrange to have an engineer go out in the afternoon to change the physical meter. We’ll need at least two weeks notice to book that job in from our side, once you’ve got a confirmation of the job booking from the distributor, and longer would always be better. I hope that helps!
