Hey @darrenblane at Bulb we take a fixed payment in advance for the month ahead. So a payment is taken at the start of the billing month. At the end of the month we send a statement summarising your usage based on meter readings, the cost of the energy you used, and the balance on the account. The reason we do this is so we can buy energy more effectively, saving you and all our other customers money.
At the moment the £50 in your account is for the upcoming month of August until the 22nd, which we won’t be able to refund back. If we did, it would mean that you will go into debit once the billing period closes.
