Current supplier contract ends 17th August but Bulb only starts 3rd Septemer

Hi Bulb,

Hope someone can help.

Our current British Gas contract is being closed by our housemate who is leaving on the 17th August.

Our Bulb account doesn’t start until the 3rd September.

Can you advise as to what happens in the interim? Does British Gas continue to supply gas and electric, or does Bulb take that over?

Presumably British Gas bills are in your housemate’s name, although would’ve been easier just to leave it that way until the switch completes.

Bulb won’t take over anything until the 3rd September. British Gas will continue to supply the property until then and as occupiers you will be liable.
