direct debit payments

i have just noticed this month that my direct debt payment for November and decemeber have not been taken from my bank but my account is saying I owe money can you please explain how come I owe money when I have direct debits set up. It seems that you have not been requesting them

It looks like the original direct debit was cancelled, but a new one was activated on 4th Jan - we are currently waiting for this to be finalised with your bank. The next payment is due on 1st Feb, if you would like to make a one-off payment to reduce the debit on your account then please give us a call on 0300 30 30 635. Owen
