Have just checked my bank account today and it shows that my direct debit payment was debited twice yesterday! What to do please?

You can ask your bank to have one of the payments re-credited to your account immediately please see: https://www.directdebit.co.uk/DirectDebitExplained/pages/directdebitguarantee.aspx . It would also be worthwhile contacting Bulb direct as well to see what may have gone wrong.

You can also check out your “Payments ^ & statements” to see if more than one payment is showing as pending,

Hi @GrampaDon_1954 it sounds like this is one for your bank - I’ve checked your account and we only have one DD payment per month coming into our system. Let us know if there’s anything else we can do, though!
