I’ve just submitted my second lot of electricity meter readings. I have a dual rate meter which cycles through rate1, rate 2 and total. Your figures for the “day” and “night” reading are the opposite way round from what I’d previously assumed. Who is right? How do I tell whether 1=day or 1=night?Thanks for your help.
Hi @tandem, the easiest way to figure this one out is to read the meter a couple of times in the day (say 12:00-22:00) and see which one goes up. That’s then your day meter.
Hi @tandem Mowcius is right. It’s called a spaced reads test. Just read the meters twice throughout the day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Whichever read moves is the day reading.
If you do this and we have them the wrong way round, please either email us or call us on 0300 30 30635 and we can get these swapped over for you.
