I find it strange that the electric prices have gone up for Bulb despite a record breaking year for this country to produce renewable energy. I could understand if we had a shocking year and had to import the energy but we have the coal plants switched off for a record amount of time, the solar and wind turbines produced more than ever, why the increase?
Thanks for your question. I can appreciate your query, renewables have definitely been on the increase, which is great news for everyone. However, our prices are based on wholesale prices in the energy market which are rising. Network costs - what we pay to keep energy moving - have gone up too, along with two central policy costs.

Thank you for that. Explains more than I was originally given.
