Energy Increases, disappointing...

Bulb explain the 18% increase and raise my monthly fee by 30%, perhaps they are as bad as the rest, only been with them a month!

Hi @AlexNicoll - We’ve tried to explain through a few different avenues as to why our prices our increasing. It’s chiefly due to the very large increase in wholesale Natural Gas prices, because we currently have a substantial shortage. If our price estimation is going up more than the 18% we quoted then it’s likely to be because you use a lot more gas than electricity. We aren’t raising your monthly direct debit to start off with though, as we want to keep a closer eye on it during the winter. I know it’s not much consolation right now but you have until the 11th November to think things over and see if Bulb are the supplier for you - a quick glance at the news shows that many suppliers have had to raise their prices this year as a result of these shortages after last year’s very cold winter - but if you do decide to leave, we don’t have any exit fees so you can change without ever having higher prices with us.
