We have a crackling noise coming from the meter and have been advised to leave the supply off until a new meter is fitted. There is no weekend contact for Bulb so how do we get our electric back today? Surely there must be a contact for emergencies like this?

Note that since it’s a problem with the meter your local network operator might not do anything other than turn off the supply.
