FIT meter reading

I have a Rayleigh instruments meter that alternates between 2 readings. The first reads 412.69 then it changes to 2.61. The solar panels were installed in December along with this extra meter so Im assuming one of these figures is the electricity generated and exported since then. 2.61 kWh seems far too low so is 412.69 the reading I should have supplied when you requested it?

My guess is the large number is what the meter has generated (the one you submit).

The small one is the kWh the inverter has used from the grid when in standby, waiting for the sun to come up…

Thank you. The installers left no instructions or explained how it all worked. The meter alternates between 010 which is labelled export (2.61) and 000 which is labelled import (412.69).but it must have exported to the grid the higher number surely?

Yes, just check them at the start of a sunny day and at the end to confirm.
