Gas card

I don’t have a gas card I was awaiting one in the post and my gas has run out what can I do?

If you have a ‘smart prepayment’ meter, you should be able to top up using a ‘Vend’ code - https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360013684571-How-do-I-top-up-my-smart-prepayment-meter-using-a-VEND-code- (check your meter corresponds with the displays in that article).

If you are still waiting for Bulb to supply your first gas card, you should be able to continue using your old supplier’s card until it has arrived (see https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360018378031-Switching-to-Bulb-on-prepay ).

You may also be able to use the ‘emergency credit’ option if your meter supports it https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360006207791-How-do-I-activate-my-emergency-credit- .

If it’s been more than a week since you switched to Bulb and you still haven’t received your gas card, I would give them a call on 0300 30 30 635 (email help@bulb.co.uk or live chat at https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/115001240291-How-can-I-get-in-touch-with-Bulb- ) on Monday after 9am but before 6pm.

I don’t have a smart meter :frowning: and it says emergency credit used :frowning: is there no way to get any gas then if they are shut? X

No it’s not working it’s just beeping at me I changed over months ago and they have had to change my meter and now I don’t have a card :frowning:

@Nicola_1988 I can see that you spoke to my colleague on chat, we have sent a new gas card to you. In the meantime if you still have the old suppliers card, that may still work as gas meters remember two cards.
