Gas meter readings not being accepted

Since I switched to bulb in June , each month I submit my gas meter readings and it keeps saying it can’t be accepted as the figure isn’t what they have expected. So each month I have taken a photo of the meter reading and submitted this with the reading. However when I look at my account it just keeps showing estimates which are going higher and higher and not what my meter is showing. How do I get this rectified and if they don’t look at the photos then what’s the point in sending them in?
