today is my first payment date and im not sure if I have set it up to pay automatically or if I need to do something today.

As this is a public community forum, I’d advise you to remove your personal data (address) as anybody on the internet can see it (just click the cog next to your post to edit out the information).
You should have been setup for direct debits so it should have come out of your bank account automatically - you can check if things are pending by logging into your Bulb account at https://account.bulb.co.uk (or by clicking ‘Sign in’) and going to ‘Statements + Payments’. There should be a ‘credit’ showing around today’s date (it will probably show ‘Pending’ as the funds work through the banking system).
However, if you are still uncertain, I’d suggest contacting Bulb directly as account specific queries like this cannot be answered by fellow customers (such as myself).
