How do I top up my pay as you go leccy using the app?


I just moved into a flat which is supplied by Bulb and has a Smart meter. I have registered an account… bulb knows my address and I downloaded the app bu t when I open the app it tells me ‘this app doesn’t work with traditional top up meters’

I’m just about out of electricity… how do I top up?

My estate agent tells me that its a pay as you go account and that he had a similar problem topping up for some workies who were drilling etc up there before I moved in. Apparently Bulb support told him that they didn’t have the smart meter registered at their end…

So does any one have any idea how I find out what my accurate account settings are and how I top up?


I have the exact same issue as the person above. The letting agent told me I would be able to top up online, but I receive the same message when I open the app “This app doesn’t work with traditional top up meters”.

Could someone from Bulb please respond.

You do indeed have a smart pay as you go meter, so if you log in to your bulb account and head over to top up where you can make online top ups.
