Here at Bulb we take a fixed payment in advance for the month ahead which goes to credit your mybulb account. At the end of the month we send a statement summarising your usage based on meter readings (or estimates if you don’t manage to send these over), the cost of the energy you used is deducted from your credit, and the balance on the account.
We find this helps our members manage payments by knowing exactly how much is coming out each month, and if bills are regularly different from the fixed paymentsw then you can adjust your payment amount (and other useful things) yourself on our online portal, MyBulb, at https://my.bulb.co.uk/login.
