I had to click 'submit anyway', when submitting meter readings. Why was that?

Whenever a meter reading comes in, our systems automatically check it to see if it looks like we’d expect. If it’s quite a bit different from what we’d expect, then we pop up a message asking if you’re sure that what you entered is correct. Just to double check. If you’re sure, then great! That’s fine, just hit “Submit anyway” and it’ll go through.

We then go over it on our end too. It could be that a previous reading was incorrect or something, so this helps us keep an eye on things.

Long story short, there’s no need to worry if you go this message. As long as you’re sure that the reading is accurate then we’re happy.
