I'm moving out of my property but have a tenant that is moving in, can they take over the account?

I’m moving out of my property but have a tenant that is moving in on that same date so will have the same opening meter readings as my closing readings. Are they able to take over the account or do they have to set up a new account by going through the sign up process as a new customer?

Once you notify Bulb that you are moving out (through https://account.bulb.co.uk - or clicking ‘Sign in’ in the top right corner - and then going through the ‘Moving home’ link next to your address), then the property will be put on a ‘deemed’ contract and Bulb will send the new occupier (‘To the current occupier’) a postal letter asking them to setup a new energy account.
