Incorrect gas meter serial number


On my account it seems the gas meter serial number is incorrect and is connected to a different apartment in the building. I am currently in the process of switching to bulb from E On and I did tell E On about this when I was with them due to a labelling error made by the builders which made these new-build apartments, but it seems that the change to the correct meter serial number had not been made and so I may be getting charged for someone else’s gas usage? I hope there is a solution for this, as I have emailed Bulb but received no response, thanks.
