increase in electricity bill

since switching to bulb my monthly bill has doubled ,even though we have been away most of the time and its light in the evenings and we are using much less , ?
I would not recommend anyone to switch and will be leaving asap

Are you submitting readings? Has your actual generated statements gone up?

I agree, ridiculous. You must know what your unit price/standing charge was before you switched and what it is now. If it is lower then all is good. If it is higher then why did you switch? Nothing else matters.

we have a prepay metre , and obversely we checked the prices first and the savings quote that was given was a saving of £187 per year , but we have gone from putting around £40 a month on the key top up to around £80
