My friend recommended Bulb to me at the weekend so I’ve signed up for my new house. Then just today she emailed me a referral link that would get both of us £100 off the bill. is there anything I can do to retroactively claim it as my supply hasn’t started yet.
According to https://bulb.co.uk/terms/ s 17.2.5 :
The Recruit must use the Referrer's Personal Link to switch energy supply to Bulb on bulb.co.uk. Referrals claimed retrospectively are not eligible and will not be rewarded. Bulb is not responsible for failure to issue Rewards resulting from an incorrectly quoted Personal Link.
So technically the answer is no. However, since I guess there is nothing stopping you cancelling your switch and then signing up using the link Bulb may be willing to ‘work with you’ on this (however, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll pay the referral - 17.2.4 - “Recruits must not have already signed up to Bulb or be an existing member, already on supply with Bulb, or a member of Bulb in the preceding 12 months, under any email address or alias.”).
I’d just drop them a line via email@example.com (including dates and the referral link) asking kindly and cross your fingers.
Thanks very much Richy for the information~ I’ve sent them an email. Fingers crossed
I believe all that finger crossing worked @mtharrison, one of my colleagues has emailed you back
I hope it was a successful outcome. I just fell victim to the same bad luck. Until 2 days ago in fact I’d never heard of Bulb in my life until a friend told me he is with them . He didn’t know about the referral scheme I joined on Friday and then learned about this. Bulb got new business and I missed out on the offer by hours. He has now sent me a referral link as proof of a referral and I’ve send it to Bulb so I hope they can do something for my friend encouraging me to join as word of mouth goes a long way for new businesses. I’m crossing my fingers too…
