Meter Readings - Monthly v Every Three Months

I’m more than happy to submit monthly meter readings in an attempt to make my account as accurate as possible.

Just a thought regarding the information on Bulb relating to meter readings.

  1. In the “Payments and statements” section of the accounts dashboard it mentions under Average monthly usage

A meter reading every three months keeps this estimate shipshape.

  1. In https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/115003193451-When-should-I-submit-a-meter-reading it says “To make sure these statements accurately show how much energy you’ve used, you should give us monthly readings.”

I wonder for consistency whether the details in the “Payments and statements” section should read “A meter reading every month keeps this estimate shipshape.”

@Allanr thanks for your thoughts regarding the wording in our help article.

We don’t necessarily require our members to provide us with a reading every month as one every 3 months should be enough.

I agree that the wording is a bit inconsistent and we’ll get this updated so we always give the same message.

@SJ at Bulb

I have just come across this information in my welcome pack:

3.15. So we can bill you as accurately as possible, you must give us an up to date meter reading for your energy at least every 30 days.

This must trump giving a reading every 3 months?

Hi @Allanr From our most up to date T&Cs here https://bulb.co.uk/terms/: 3.15. So we can bill you as accurately as possible, you must give us an up-to-date meter reading for your energy at least every 90 days and when requested by Bulb if there is a reason to need more up to date meter readings.

Thanks.
