From the day I joined Bulb I have been asking about a smart meter upgrade and I just keep getting told you are working on a software upgrade for my British Gas Smart Meters you now have a Smart meter tariff that I can not access when can I expect a update or replacement meters

You have first generation smart meters and up until recently, these were only smart with the supplier who installed them. We’ve been working on upgrading all of these meters so that we can start communicating with them.
There are different types of first generation smart meters, we cannot connect to all types yet and that includes your one, we are sorry about that, When we do you’ll receive an email letting you know when we’ve been able to turn your meters smart again.
