New customer

Hi, we’re due to switch over tomorrow, we currently have pre-payment with smart meters. What will the smart meter display show once the switch has happened? We’re moving to direct debit and understand the smart meter shouldn’t work once we’ve switched. I’m just worried something will go wrong and we’re left without power/gas.

Your meter should show ‘credit mode’ or ‘vend mode’. You should also be able to get readings from it by following our guide althouhg I expect this will all have happened by now.
