New meter

A new gas meter was fitted to my house on 21/3/2018. Since then I have submitted readings, sent photos of the new meter and spoken to bulb on at least 4 occasions.
They tell me that they have had no information from the meter installers. We are now 5 months on, and I can’t supply my gas meter reading which they have asked for again, because they can’t recognise the new meter…
What must I do? It seems what ever I do is not being accepted.
Where has common sense gone.
