Hi, I get a message saying that a smart meter is not currently available for the property but solar panels have just been installed so to get the smart export guarantee you have to have a smart meter. So effectively missing out on these payments. The property is on economy 7. With the energy price cap it’s not worth changing providers so shouldn’t bulb have an obligation to provide one? Surely a manual way for payments could be done looking at the generation meter vs usage?
Can I check if an export meter was installed alongside your regular meter when you had your solar panels installed? To sign up to our export payments, you would need either a smart meter, or an export meter. These are usually put in at the time of install, but if not, you could ask your solar installer if that’s a possibility?
