Old Supplier

I moved to Bulb on 20 July. Yesterday, my old supplier, Scottish Power, sent me an email about direct debit amount change. It seems they haven’t been informed yet. Is it a problem? What should I do? Should I cancel the direct debit order of Scottish Power?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Aydin

The change to the DD is just them being slow to react to the change, I wouldn’t take anything from it.

There help articles are relevant for your situation: https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360000313371-Why-is-my-old-supplier-still-charging-me-

Cancelling the DD: https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/115001227691-Should-I-cancel-my-Direct-Debit-with-my-old-supplier-

They will send a final bill 6 weeks after you switch, which will then cancel any DDs they have open.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the rapid reply.

I know the final bill, no problem about that. They say “we have reviewed your bill and you’ll pay £xxx per month from now on”. It seems they think that I’m still a customer of them.
