Paying for gas that’s switched off

I currently have an old back boiler and I switch it off and don’t use it from may till the winter. Can I get around paying a standing charge I hate paying for something that isn’t being used

Some other providers (but not Bulb) offer a no-standing charge tariff. But their charges per kWh are likely to be higher than Bulb’s.

As long has you have a gas meter, you’re eligible for the standing charge.

Unless, as @christos_1 said, you’re on a tariff that has no standing charge.

@Charlene85 Bulb do not offer a no standing charge tariff. You’d have to switch to a different supplier.
