I requested my payment to be changed to the 16th of every month. Next payment was going to be taken out on the 16th of October. It’s been taken out today and left me short. What has happened?

Sorry to hear this, when did you request for the change to be taken place? If it was within 3-4 days of your previous payment date (i.e 3-4 before today), the direct debit instruction would have already gone through to Bulb’s bank to work through the banking system. If, however, you are a new customer, then your regular monthly payment will be set to come out on the 16th of the month, but your ‘first payment’ will be based on your switching date.
