I have only been with bulb since July and have been making payments of £103 monthly today I received e mail to say Iam £1459 in debt and want to up my payments to £259 monthly we’re a.m. I going wrong

Your account balance is pretty wrong at the moment because of a dispute with your old supplier regarding the opening reading on the account.
This can take a few weeks as there is a lot of back and forth. Normally we don’t generate any bills whilst this is ongoing, looks like our system errored and sent the wrong bill anyway… sorry about that!
We’re still taking payments so you don’t fall into arrears.
Once we’ve decided on the right reading with them we’ll send you out a consolidated bill for the period with a nice new updated balance
