Prepayment top up issue

Anyone else having issues with topping up their prepayment meter??? As in you can top up the card/key but when going to put they key/card into the meter, it won’t take the money. It just says “token accepted” but doesn’t show how much money it’s accepted or change the balance. Been trying this all day today and we only have £20 left in the meter. I wonder if the meter has just been shut off because of what Martin Lewis has said about certain ppl being able to “bulk top up”. But surely that can’t be possible

I have taken a look at your account and can see you have been in touch over email. It looks like you were trying to top your meter up with more credit than what it can hold.

Prepay electricity meters can only hold £255 of credit at any one time and so if the top-up would take the balance higher than this then it will not add to the meter.
