Have just signed in and gone to the refer a friend page, where no active links whatsoever exist. Could someone tell me how to send out a link. Maybe its me that’s just thick. I’ve tried 3 different web browsers, and none of the links seem to work on the ‘refer a friend page’. Thanks.
Hi @Yorkshire_Lad ,
If you are on the ‘Refer a friend’ page of your account at https://account.bulb.co.uk/dashboard/refer , the top left of the screen should look like this:
[I’m hoping my screenshot - mainly for illustrating where the link (and isn’t a link itself) can be found - is ‘ok’ under the terms and conditions - see below. I’ll have to find and learn to use image editing software on this Mac]
If you click on the ‘double pages’ on the white section on your account, that’ll copy your personal referral link starting bulb.co.uk/refer/ (it should be easy enough to hand-copy though).
You can also click the green ‘paper plane’ icon to ‘Send an invite’ via email (ensure you have the person’s permission for you to send them that email), the twitter icon to auto-compose a tweet and the Facebook icon to post on Facebook. (These may or may not work if you have ad-blocking, privacy-blocking or social-network-blocking browser extensions or firewall rules setup).
If all of those are failing (and you aren’t shown a link starting with bulb.co.uk/refer/ , I can only guess that there’s a problem with your account and in that case, it may be worth checking with Bulb directly via email (see https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/115001240291-How-can-I-get-in-touch-with-Bulb- ). If you’ve recently joined Bulb and you are still switching to them, then the referral program may not yet be active for you yet - just waiting until the switch is fully complete.
(Just worth highlight Bulb’s terms and conditions about referral links on part 17 of https://bulb.co.uk/terms/ - basically, don’t pretend to be Bulb/Bulb’s employee, don’t take out search engine advertising/social media advertising with it, don’t spam, don’t use it on Trustpilot or Google reviews and don’t post it on these forums. Doing anything like that may result in you being removed from the referral program).
[I’m hoping my screenshot - mainly for illustrating where the link can be found - is ‘ok’ for this!]. Doing anything like that may result in you being removed from the referral program). ???
Thanks for catching that @Allanr - I’ve slightly clarified things. Perhaps I shouldn’t respond to forum posts straight after being on the treadmill and trying to things finished before my laptop battery runs out (and I should either learn to use the image editing software on my Mac - I’m more a PC person tbh- or improve my ASCII graphics which I started off doing).
