Replacement Meter


I had my gas meter replaced recently and the guy gave me a card which had the meter reading before it was changed and one for after it was changed - the new meter reading figure is much lower than the old one, how does this work when it comes to submitting a meter reading?

I have emailed bulb and got a generic reply linking to articles/threads about smart meters but this is not relevant to this case. I replied to their email and never heard anything back, pretty shoddy customer service to be honest.

Can anyone here enlighten me?

The old / new readings are sent to the ‘industry’ by the installer, eventually they’ll hit your account.

Cheers I thought as much but it has been a while now.
