set up tariff

I submitted my reading to start the account. I have just had my bill for closing EDF and they say only one of my dual tariff readings have been submitted so my bill is based on an estimate which is wrong. I checked my submission to bulb and it clearly states the reading - why have they not sent this correctly to EDF?

@Seft0n8o89 when someone switches supplier to us we have to send their readings off to an independent regulatory body for validation. If this doesn’t fall in line with their estimates for the meter, they reject the reading & produce an estimate.

If the estimated reading produced is within 250kWh for electricity, or 100m^3 for gas then we can’t dispute it, unfortunately. However, you won’t be double charged for any energy used - your old supplier will bill you up until the estimated reading, and we’ll start billing you from that.
