Short gap between tenants.

Hi there,
Our tenant has recently left our property (13th July). The new tenant is moving in on the 3rd August. I’ve just registered myself as landlord for the 3 week period, however, I can’t seem to input the meter readings as it says you’re preparing my bill? The property is empty so very little to no power usage, appreciate there’ll be a small charge. What do I do relating to providing the meter readings taken on the 13th July and 3rd August? I got the impression you’re going to take a whole month in advance in 5 days. Keen to avoid this if possible.
