Smart Meter doesn't work

Hi - I had a smart meter installed 5 weeks ago and it still doesn’t “work” in the sense that the control panel/monitor doesn’t connect and show any data. I know there is a lot written about this. But does anybody know what the official line is from Bulb? Seems a bit odd that they are so quiet when it seems to be such a big problem.
