Smart Meter Installation

We had a smart meter installed earlier this week. It was very easy apart from the display loses its connection to the meters overnight.

However, I had an email from bulb asking us to submit a reading and suggested that was needed even if we had a smart meter. I looked at the meters and found the readings, but of course being new meters the readings are far lower than our last readings and the website gives an error.

My assumptions are that
1/ When Siemens installed the new meter, they read the old ones and submitted the final reading to Bulb
2/ As it’s a smart meter I don’t have to read them any more as that will get done through the Capita DCC.

Is that right?
