Smart meter installed - Previous readings and tariff

Thanks for arranging the smart meter installation which went smoothly this time
It just occurred to me that I haven’t made a note of the readings just prior to the installation
My last reading was submitted 4 days ago so not much data was lost but would your engineers do a reading first normally?
I find the estimates tend to be wildly off as I’m a low user

Also, previously it was mentioned to me if I were to switch to a single fee tariff as opposed to my eco7 one, I can do it for free with a smart meter installed. Is that still true? And how to I get about finding out the single tariff for my account?

The engineer should log the final reading when removing the old meter. It does appear this sometimes this doesn’t happen, or Bulb don’t record it properly. If you submitted a reading 4 days ago, then an estimate can’t really go much wrong in that time anyway.

Yes you can switch between single- and multi-rate tariffs for free with a smart meter. You’ll have to contact Bulb regarding changing your billing configuration, this is just a customer forum.
