Smart meter installed with no WAN coverage

Hi, I got a smart meter installed last July, but there was no WAN coverage. According to the coverage maps the installation should have been successful. I’m sending in customer reads as the meter still hasn’t joined the network. Does anyone know if Siemens, who installed the meter, should have initiated some remedial action. Or is the assumption that it will work in the future when the density of Smart Meters increases. Note I live in central Edinburgh so coverage shouldn’t be an issue.
