Smart Meter - just moved to Bulb

I have a smart meter and have just changed over to Bulb, will I still have my reading taken using it or do I have to do the readings myself ?

This depends on what generation of smart meter you have. If it is a first generation smart meter or SMETS1 you will need to submit manual readings for the time being. Our plan is to be able to read this meter remotely again by the end of the year so you won’t permanently have to submit manual readings.

However, if it is a second generation smart meter or SMETS2 we will be able to read automatically from when your switch is completed.

I’ve sent you an email so I can get some details from you, I can then look up what meter you have on the national database.
