Smart Meter Problems

I moved just over a month ago from EDF with a Smets 2 smart meter. The switch has been a pain in the backside with bulb requesting meter readings but not allowing me to enter them as it realises I have a smart meter so disables the option. My question, over a month in and bulb have only just taken my first smart read on the electric and nothing at all on the gas. Has anyone had any similar experience and does the reading sort itself out for both gas and electric reads? I want accurate bills/reads to stay on track but seems bulb are neither taking the smart reads or accepting manual readings. Before I had hour by hour reads with EDF.
