I have a smart meter which ran out of batteries I’ve replaced them but now it’s asking for a vend code so I can’t get a meter reading
Hi @Beautyrules, a lot of suppliers cripple smart meters a few weeks or months after you’ve left them so unfortunately you will likely have to read the physical meter manually to get your meter readings, rather than using the in home display from your old supplier.
@Beautyrules - It sounds like the batteries in your In-Home Display ran out rather than your smart meter. The In-Home Display’s are often (as mowcius states) crippled when you move away from the installing supplier. The meters themselves will still work though and you can read those off the wall.
